.¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•`Thank you for stopping by to get to know a little about me. I sculpt and create cake toppers, figurines, vases and more out of polymer clay. I am the mom of two amazing and wonderful children, a daughter and a son. (All grown up) I was born
in Danbury, CT and when I was seven my family moved to Arizona where we
lived until I graduated from high school. Artwork and crafts were always
a huge part of my family life while I was growing up. Every year at
Christmas time I especially enjoyed our tradition of creating ornaments
out of dough. My craft grew over the years and the medium I love to work
with became polymer clay. I find sculpting with clay to be very relaxing, and I enjoy working on the smallest of details in each piece.
I encouraged artwork and crafting in my own
home, as my children journeyed through their childhood. I worked full
time, living some time in Arizona, California and finally Texas while
my husband and I were raising our children. Even though claywork and photography were always
passions of mine, I was only able to enjoy them as hobbies until
recently. Now I am living in Michigan, dedicating time to my clay
artwork, and I feel so fortunate to be spending time doing something I
love so much. My family is very important to me and their constant
belief in me, and in my artwork, has been inspirational.
For my "day job" I work in a law office. Sometimes when I leave my studio to go to work, it feels like it puts a bit of a damper on my creativity... but work I must and I am thankful for my job. Throughout each day, I keep my eyes wide open ~ always finding something that inspires me! I keep a journal so that I can write down all the whimsical things in my head, for future creations. Little by little I hope to have each one of them, and so much more, come to life from a block of clay.
